Sunny Petermann, Program Director and Teacher of Sunshine Preschool
Sunny began part-time teaching at Sunshine Preschool here in 1991, teaching 3-5 year old children. From 1992 until 2002 she co-directed, in addition to teaching. Sunny became Program Director in 2002 working along side two other teachers and one substitute teacher. Being part of such an extraordinary team is inspiring and she finds the children inspiring as well. The creating, crafting, designing and implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula have been fun and rewarding. The Christian community of WPC along with all of the staff fosters a very kind, encouraging, loving, environment in which young children can learn and grow. During her college years she studied Dental Hygiene, Social Sciences, and Early Childhood Education at Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon. It was during the youth ministry courses that she felt the pull of God on her life to seek employment in a Christian environment. It has been her joy to assist God in His desire that all grow in the knowledge of Him. Children are not just our tomorrow they are our today!
